Our Terms

It is our policy to treat our customers in exactly the same way as we would wish to be treated ourselves.  If you are not happy for any reason please let us know - we can't help if we don't know.
 
Details of our business terms, prices and descriptions of items offered for sale in our online shop are current and subject to change without prior notice.  Prices shown will replace any previously advertised costs. 
 
All items offered by sale on this website have been manufactured by Monty's Locker unless otherwise stated.  From time to time new information may become available regarding a design, we reserve the right to make any alterations to any designs without prior notice.
 
Please note that all items are sold for use by collectors and re-enactors and although we will give as much information about the goods as we can it is the customers ultimate responsiblity to ensure that the appropriate research is carried out with regards to the suitability of an item. 
 
Payment

All payments must be made in British Pounds (£) Sterling. International payments will only be accepted through Paypal or Google Checkout.  Bank Transfers will only be accepted by prior arrangement, responsibility for fees will be shared.
 
No goods will be dispatched until cleared payment has been received unless by prior arrangement.  Therefore if paying by cheque you should be aware that clearance will take up to 5 working days before goods can be dispatched.
 
Refunds

Under the terms of the UK Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel your order for any item purchased from Monty’s Locker within 14 working days of delivery.   In the event of loss, late delivery or dissatisfaction with the product and a replacement is not acceptable the goods need to be returned in the condition supplied within 14 days of date of receipt and a full refund will be sent (please note this does not apply to custom one off orders).  Any return of items will be at the buyers own expense (we do not refund postage costs).  The buyer must contact us before returning any item.  Payments made through Paypal will be refunded via same.  Payments made by Cheque or Postal Order will be refunded using same method and posted out promptly. 

 
Post & Packing
 
All orders are subject to a postage and packing charge. This will be automatically calculated through our Shopping Basket Ordering System and will be based on the total cost of your order and your location.  We reserve the right to charge an additional amount (at cost) if next day delivery is required (UK only).  You will need to contact us for addtional information if this method is required.   
 
We aim to despatch orders as quickly as possible and as we manufacture all items ourselves we are rarely out of stock of any item.  However if any item is required with urgency we would suggest you make contact with us first so we can advise on expected despatch time.  Although we will always do all we can to ensure that any order is received in time for an event we cannot be held responsible for any postal delays that may occur and are out of our control.
 
Goods posted to a UK address will be sent 1st class Recorded Delivery, we will advise you by email of dispatch and would suggest that if you have still not received goods within a few days of notification that you check with your local sorting office in case goods are there.  Any goods returned to us due to non collection will incur an additional postage (at cost) charge to redeliver.
 
It is your responsibility to ensure that any goods ordered are not prohibited from import to your country.   Occasionally excise duties may become payable, it will be the customers responsibility to ensure that the appropriate payment is made.  If an item has to be returned either because of non collection at customs or because it cannot be imported we are not able to refund monies paid but will offer other goods to the same value in exchange less any delivery and import charges.
 
Please recognise that we do rely on the services of Royal Mail and from time to time other carriers.  There are occasions where due to circumstances beyond our control goods will not arrive by the requested time.  Please do not leave it to the last minute to advise us that goods have not arrived - if we need to send a replacement we will need time to get the said items to you.
 
Care of Items
 
We cannot guarantee the colour fastness of any of the cloths we use.  Whilst we always fabrics of the best quality we can source we would always recommend that you remove any items before washing, we cannot be held responsible where our recommendations have not been followed. 
 
Contact
 
It may sometimes be necessary to contact you with regards to your order and this is often more productive to be able to speak to you over the telephone.  It would be appreciated if a contact telephone number is left at the time of ordering.
